Current wind turbines are being designed to meet the IEC 61400 -2 standards. However we will certify our turbine against the new AWEA Small Wind Turbine Performance and Safety Standard currently under review. AWEA (American Wind Energy Association) is writing their new standards around IEC 61400-2.
100kw wind turbines
A 100kW wind turbine produces enough energy to power 15+ homes. These are not residential turbines but are community-sized wind turbine that produce the right amount of power for school and university campuses, residential developments, farms, municipalities, and a variety of businesses ranging from injection molding factories to extrusion houses. They can also be used in small wind farms for direct grid hookup.
1MW Wind Turbine
Our MegaWatt class wind turbines produce energy to power roughly 1000 homes. These are not residential turbines but are community-sized wind turbine that produce for industrial and utility grade applications. They can also be used in wind farms for direct grid hookup.
500kW Wind Turbine
The 500kW turbine from Polaris will be avialable Q3/2011
A 500kw wind turbine produces enough energy to power 100+ homes. These are not residential turbines but are community-sized wind turbine that produce the right amount of power for school and university campuses, residential developments, farms, municipalities, and a variety of businesses ranging from injection molding factories to extrusion houses. They can also be used in small wind farms for direct grid hookup.
